Save the Date for Gamechanges: ISABC Youth Sustainability Conference 2025.

ISABC, in partnership with UBC Sustainability Hub and MetroVan, is excited to announce our third annual Youth Sustainability Conference! Bringing together students from our 27 schools across Southern BC, this exciting event provides the opportunity for young people to learn about the many ways individuals and communities are taking action for the planet and changing the game. We are currently seeking presenters to lead workshops for students from Grade 6-12 and engage them in hands-on, inspirational learning. Conference Schedule

  • 9:00-9:40: Check-in – Welcome desk

  • 9:40-10:10: Opening Full Group Session

  • 10:20-11:20: Workshop #1

  • 11:30-12:30: Workshop #2

  • 12:30-1:20: Lunch & Cross-school collaboration

  • 1:30-2:30: Workshop #3

  • 2:40-3:00: Closing remarks, prizes & feedback

 

Looking for Presenters

The ISABC (Independent Schools Association of British Columbia) is planning an in-person Youth Environmental Conference for students aged 11-18 on February 21st, 2025 to be held at UBC.

We anticipate roughly 250-300 students to attend the conference from across Southern British Columbia. We are looking for organizations and/or individuals who would be interested in running a workshop session focusing on inspiring student action to make change in their own schools and communities. CLIMATE ACTION THROUGH ART

Deadline: Nov. 18, 2024

The ISABC Youth (Gr. 6-12) Sustainability Conference is hoping to draw on the creativity of young artists to design a logo for this year’s ‘Game Changer’ conference. If you would like to support the conference with a logo that reflects the following inspirations, please submit to the conference planning committee at [email protected]. Any medium or style can be used to design the logo, and it should be submitted in JPEG or PNG format.
