Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications, Southpointe is seeking a Marketing Specialist who is a creative storyteller. Bringing fresh ideas to elevate our digital presence and connecting with our community in meaningful ways.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
*These may include, but are not limited to…
- Creating, guiding and posting daily content on the school’s main social media accounts that is engaging to diverse audiences and contributes to increased engagement;
- Providing responses to users and inbound messages on social media platforms, fostering positive relationships with the school’s community;
- Maintaining the photo and video library for social media, website, and school publications;
- Managing communication projects such as the annual yearbook, quarterly magazine, and weekly e-newsletter by actively seeking and generating content;
- Providing copy editing and proofreading support as required.
Qualifications
- Relevant undergraduate degree or diploma;
- Three to five years’ experience in related fields;
- Exceptional skills, knowledge and experience in communication, writing, social media content and strategy, web publishing, graphic design, photography and videography;
- Strong attention to detail; able to communicate complex information using relatable language that is target-audience appropriate;
- Advanced skills using Adobe Creative Suite including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and web design;
- Experience working with web content management systems and e-communications, including managing email campaigns and weekly newsletters.
Hours of Work and Salary
- On Site
- Year round, Monday to Friday;
- 8:00am – 4:00pm;
- $37.45 per hour.
