In addition to spending an engaging day with students who are genuinely interested in learning, thinking and playing, teachers are provided with dedicated work time as part of their daily schedule to plan and work collaboratively with others.

We are looking for positive and enthusiastic people to fill the position of Teacher on Call. All levels of experience will be considered.

All applicants must possess:

-BC teacher certification Please indicate your TRB # on your application (L or J followed by 6 digits).
-Canadian residency and be legally entitled to work in Canada
-Strong English skills
-An excellent rapport with children
-Familiarity with the new BC Curriculum is an asset

Preferred qualifications, experiences, and dispositions:

-Strong knowledge of the British Columbia Curriculum
-Ability and interest in working across a range of grades and disciplines
-Demonstrated experience as an enthusiastic, innovative, and caring educator
-A commitment to diversity and inclusion in all its many dimensions
-Collaborative and flexible, supportive, and effective team-player
-Ability to develop strong professional relationships with all stakeholders
-Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills
-Strong organizational and time-management skills
-Experience using an inquiry-based and project-based learning approach
-Committed to continuous professional growth and improvement

The daily rate for a Teacher on Call is $325.
