Shawnigan athletes are looking forward to warmer weather as spring arrives on Vancouver Island. With the change of season has come a change in athletic commitments – this week the whole School switched over from second to third term sports. The fields and docks are much busier now, with more students joining our rugby, soccer, and rowing programs; students in the outdoors program are back in their kayaks; and the tennis courts are humming with activity once again.
Although sports have necessarily looked very different this year, Shawnigan’s teams have continued to find new ways to learn, train, and grow both skill and passion, and teammates have become closer than ever after spending so much practice time together. Their coaches and athletes have certainly risen to the challenge and created positive, stimulating and valuable programs this year!
