Ariadne: Spooling Student Stories 2020 Vol. 2 is now available online. Ariadne is a journal of creative writing by high school students from ISABC schools. The purpose of Ariadne: Spooling Student Stories is to profile, publish, and create an authentic audience for ISABC student writing; to celebrate and promote the humanities throughout ISABC schools; to foster inter-school collaboration; and to develop the core competencies of creativity and communication as essential 21st century skills.
Thank you to all the courageous young people who sent in their submissions for consideration. There would not have been a journal without their creativity, effort, and bravery. Thank you to all the teachers who supported these students and encouraged them to send in their pieces. Lastly, thank you to all the English teachers from a variety of ISABC schools who took the time to choose from among these submissions that made up this volume and provided feedback to all the students.
Communication and administrative tasks were undertaken by two York House students, Cathy Chen ’20 and Allison Keogh ’20. Their prompt efficiency was most appreciated. The cover art was created by Ivy Shen from Southridge School. Thank you for your help and support!
