We are seeking an Intermediate Homeroom Teacher to join our Wentworth Campus (JK to Grade 7). The ideal candidate will be a collaborative and engaging educator who will demonstrate the ability to contribute to the many facets of school life. This is a Temporary Contract position for the 2025-26 school year that starts on August 22, 2025, with the possibility of extension.

Responsibilities

  • Build collaborative and effective relationships with students, staff, parents and the community
  • Deliver the curriculum as per the BC Ministry
  • Ensure that the individual learning needs of each student are met
  • Establish a respectful and safe environment for the children
  • Collaborate with other members of faculty within the grade team and school to create innovative lessons and units that embrace the design thinking framework
  • Attend regular Professional Development to strengthen and inform practice

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor of Education
  • Experience teaching at the elementary school level
  • Strong problem solving and organizational skills
  • BC Teaching Certification
  • Basic First Aid
  • Canadian residency and legally entitled to work in Canada

  • Exceptional teaching skills, with a creative approach
  • Have an aptitude in differentiated learning styles and approaches
  • Knowledge of the BC curriculum

The current faculty grid annual salary range for this position is $73,845 to $109,969 based on years of experience and a Bachelor of Education. Faculty with a Masters will be paid at a higher range.
