We are seeking a Design and Technology Teacher to join our Wentworth campus (Grades JK -7). The ideal candidate will teach and plan collaboratively using innovative, hands-on, and inquiry-based approaches to design and technology. They should be a flexible, dynamic, collaborative, and inspirational educator looking to become part of a vibrant teaching and learning community. This is a Full Time Permanent position that will start on August 22, 2025.
Responsibilities
- Co-design and deliver a curriculum that meets the needs of individual students and BC Ministry requirements
- Collaborate with other members of faculty to create innovative lessons and units that include experiential learning and STEM-based initiatives
- Establish a respectful and safe, student-centered learning environment
- Attend regular Professional Development to strengthen and inform teaching practice both locally and internationally
- Maintain confidentiality of all information related to Collingwood School, the students, their families, and staff
Required qualifications
- Undergraduate Degree, preferably in Design, Technology, Engineering, or a related field
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education or the equivalent
- Experience, skill and passion for teaching design, technology, STEM or Applied Design (ADST) at an elementary level
- Proficiency in coding, robotics, 3D printing, digital design, and maker-based learning
- Excellent management, organizational, interpersonal, and relationship skills
- BC Teaching Certification
- Basic First Aid
- Canadian residency and legally entitled to work in Canada

The current faculty grid annual salary range for this position is $73,845 to $109,969 based on years of experience and a Bachelor of Education. Faculty with a Masters will be paid at a higher range.
