We are seeking an Elementary Physical and Health Education Teacher to join our Wentworth Campus (JK – Grade 7). The ideal candidate will be a collaborative and engaging educator who will demonstrate the ability to contribute to the many facets of school life, which will include coaching and extra-curricular responsibilities. This is a Permanent Full-Time position starting on August 22, 2025.  

Responsibilities

  • Teach and coach young children in physical and health education at our JK – 7 campus
  • Contribute to the further development of an exceptional physical and health education program
  • Support and contribute to our vibrant athletic program
  • Have a passion for health, wellness, physical activity and sport
  • Build collaborative and effective relationships with students, staff, parents and the community

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor of Education, elementary or physical education focus
  • Undergraduate degree in physical education or human kinetics is an asset
  • Familiarity with the BC Curriculum
  • Teaching experience in JK through grade 7
  • BC Teaching Certification
  • Basic First Aid
  • Canadian residency and legally entitled to work in Canada

The current faculty grid salary range for this position is $73,845 to $109,969 based on years of experience and a Bachelor of Education. Faculty with a Masters will be paid at a higher range.
