The code playground is an initiative by members of the BC Ministry of Education K-12 Coding Implementation Committee and BCIT. The playground creates a space where teachers come together and learn about coding and computational thinking, explore some of the tools available to teach in this area, and collaborate with teachers of similar age groups to plan their computational thinking program for the coming school year. Whether you are a computational thinking superstar, someone who doesn't know where to start, or somewhere in between, the open structure of the session is designed to adapt to the needs of a wide variety of educators who don't necessarily need a workshop, but rather the time, space, community, and free food to focus on building this area into their teaching or improving their existing instruction.Read More
