The Crofton Falcons Varsity Field Hockey team won gold at the AA Girls Field Hockey BC Championship held November 2-4, 2016. Undefeated throughout the championship, Crofton Falcons’ Kaitlin C. scored with two minutes left in the final match, winning 1-0 over Collingwood School.

"This season has been amazing,” says Kaitlin C (co-captain). “Whether it be singing acapella in the locker room, playing charades in our hotel rooms or perfecting our short corner plays, our team has truly come together both on and off the field. For the seniors on the team, winning gold at Provincials was the perfect way to finish off our last high school field hockey season.”

“We worked hard all season to get to the finals and it could have gone either way,”  says head coach Andrew Schouten. “It was an entire 21-person squad effort with Ava M. (goalie) playing the best she’s ever played. The entire staff is tremendously proud of this great group of young athletes. We had tremendous leadership from our 11 grade twelve athletes. We will miss the graduating group, and we are already looking forward to defending our title next season.”

Crofton House School will host the 2017–2018 Senior Girls Field Hockey Provincial Championships.
