Our new math curriculum at Crofton House School has a focus on connection-making and communication, on reasoning and problem-solving. This raises a few important questions: What kinds of tasks can we ask to promote this kind of thinking math classroom? What questions can we ask to engage all learners in important mathematics? How can we deepen conceptual understanding and promote talk in our math classrooms? Come and learn structures for good questions and for designing tasks that will ensure your students are engaged in deep thinking. Be prepared to play!
