CROFTON HOUSE SCHOOL BAZAAR WELCOMES PUBLIC TO HELP INNER-CITY CHILDREN

CROFTON HOUSE SCHOOL BAZAAR WELCOMES PUBLIC TO HELP INNER-CITY CHILDREN

Date:
November 19, 2016
Time:
10:00 am - 4:00 pm
Event Location:
Crofton House School, 3200 West 41st Avenue, Vancouver

On November 19, the school will open its doors to the public with a festival-style bazaar to bring the local community together to help inner city children. All proceeds from the Crofton House Winter Bazaar will be donated to CLICK (Contributing to the Lives of Inner City Kids) a local charity that helps fund programs dedicated to improving the lives of inner-city children and youth in Vancouver.

With one in five children in our province living in poverty, Crofton House School (CHS) Parents’ Auxiliary is taking steps to make a difference. Last year’s event saw 3,000 members of the public come through the school gates. A cheque, totaling $35,000, was presented to CLICK — the largest single donation the charity has ever received.

Tina Barkley, co-convener of the bazaar says, “Months of hard work from our parent and school volunteers come together to make a day that is so much more than a school fair. It is about citizenship, community and connection - and of course, family fun!”

Doors to the school campus will open at 10:00 am and close at 4:00 pm. The bazaar will offer visitors everything from arcade-style games and prizes, food trucks and a cakewalk station, holiday wreaths, to booths selling a variety of wares including gently-used fashions, sporting goods, purses and jewellery, books and DVDs, baby and toddler gear, housewares and more.
