West Point Grey Academy Senior Science Department will be hosting an afternoon of curriculum sharing on Friday Oct 22 from 12:00 until 3:15 pm.
Our goal is to hold approximately 6 - 8 mini lessons related to the physics topics in grades 8 through 12. Teachers are invited to share their favorite demos or activities. In addition to the regular lab equipment we also have a fairly extensive set of Vernier equipment so if you would like to present a Vernier lesson we would welcome your ideas. Participants wishing to present an idea are invited to contact Sam Barnum (the Lab technician at WPGA) to let him know what activity they would like to present. Sam’s e-mail is sbarnum@wpga.ca
A list of all the activities will be posted on the ISABC website and sent to the participants prior to the event.
Teachers who would like to participate in this event but might not have their own activities to share are welcome to join us. We are limited to 20 participants so please RSVP to Sam ASAP. This session will include lunch. Cost: $15
