The goal of this FREE one-day conference is to bring together parents and educators to make sense of and apply the wide range of research and knowledge that is developing in the all- important early years.
Morning Session: Early Learning: Developmental Biology to Social Policy
We are pleased to welcome Dr. Hertzman, leading authority on early learning and child development, for the morning session as he communicates key findings in the early learning years.
Afternoon session: Understanding Ourselves And Our Children, Using that Knowledge for Full Advantage
Exemplary author and educator Rob Inrig explores the idea of resiliency. The picture we have of ourselves impacts how we approach life - the challenges we take on and the things we avoid.  That said, our images are often distorted and cloudy.  We allow others to define us, frequently failing to claim the things in us that should be valued and celebrated.  In an enjoyable, non-threatening and thought provoking manner, this session will help participants take a closer look at themselves in order to better operate from areas of personal strength.

There is no fee to participate in the conference but registration is required by April 5, 2011.  Lunch will be provided for participants registered in the full day conference courtesy of St. Margaret's School.
