PreK - Grade 6 Learning Support Coordinator
Mulgrave is one of Canada’s leading independent co-educational pre-K – 12 day schools, serving the north shore of Vancouver. We are an established IB Continuum World School with a reputation for excellence and innovation. We are looking for an inspirational and experienced Teacher for the position of  Learning Support Coordinator to start in August 2019. This is a full-time, permanent position.
Job Duties:
The Learning Support Coordinator oversees the provision of additional support to students (PK-G6) with a wide range of mild to moderate learning needs and exceptionalities, through a multi-tiered approach that requires close collaboration and communication among classroom teachers, divisional leadership, learning support personnel, and other specialists. Our Learning Support programme aims to develop students’ academic, self-management, and self-advocacy skills while promoting positive attitudes toward learning and self-confidence in the face of challenges.

  • Candidates will be expected to have:
  • Have or be willing to obtain all of the requirements and certifications to teach in BC and hold an age appropriate First Aid Certificate
  • Minimum of a Master’s degree in Special Education
  • Certificate in Gifted Education
  • Minimum of 10 years leadership experience in learning support
  • Minimum of 10 years teaching experience in a school with the international baccalaureate programme
  • Knowledge and understanding of the International Baccalaureate programmes, preferably with experience teaching in the primary years programme
  • Experience teaching in a technology rich environment

The salary range for this position will be $85,000 to $93,000, subject to qualifications and experience. This position will also include BC Medical coverage, health & dental benefits, tuition discount allowance and RRSP contribution.
