Junior School Teacher Associate

St. John’s Junior School is seeking an outstanding newly graduated teacher who will be licensed by the Teacher Regulation Branch as of April 2018. Reporting to the Principal of the Junior School, the successful candidate will be directly involved in the academic programme of the Junior School: assisting experienced teachers in classrooms from Grades K to 5, covering classes and other support roles related to teaching and learning. The contract is for three months running from August 27, 2018 to November 16, 2018 with the possibility of extending into the school year.
In addition to the items mentioned above, ideal candidates must be committed to ongoing professional growth, and be willing to work in a collaborative professional community. Experience in an independent school environment and familiarity with the International Baccalaureate Programmes would be considered assets.
