Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable Clerk

A full-time, permanent role for a career-minded, experienced self-starter to provide support in a positive independent educational setting.

The Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable (AR/AP) Clerk works within SMUS’ Finance department, with offices located at the Senior School campus.
Reporting to the Controller, this year-round, full time permanent position is a key role in the support of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable. The position includes a variety of duties such as supporting both AR and AP, various month end and year end duties, data entry, cash handling, deposits, parent inquiries, student registration, reconciliations, filing and other duties as required.
For you to be successful in this position, your skills should include:
• Minimum of 3-5 years of recent combined AR and AP experience
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Proficiency with computerized accounting software, preferably Dynamics GP, and Metaviewer
• Accuracy and attention to detail are key
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing with internal and external customers
• Ability to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Quick learner, with the ability to work independently
