Payroll & Benefits Administrator

Mulgrave is an independent, non-denominational co-educational school which is committed to providing an excellent academic programme from Pre-K through Grade 12. We are now inviting applications for the position of Payroll & Benefits Administrator for the Accounting Office at Mulgrave School.

Main responsibilities will be to execute the semi-monthly payroll, maintain related records, process & administer benefits, account reconciliations and assist with other activities that support the accounting function.

This administrative position is operational 12 months of the year.

The following qualities are desired:

Grade 12 supplemented by accounting or payroll courses, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.  A minimum of 3 years’ experience with Payroll & Benefits.

Proficiency in various computer applications including word processing & database management using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), and the ability to learn the school’s database, PCR Educator. Preference will be given to experience with ADP Services.

Must be a team player with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills; have meticulous attention to detail; have good discretionary ability and be able to prioritise tasks independently and within a group. The role requires strong office skills with the ability to multi-task.

Strong general knowledge of human resources principles, procedures and practices and all applicable labour, pay, benefits, health and safety laws and regulations would be an asset.

Given the location of the school, applicants must provide for their own transportation.
