Resource Development Coordinator, Fundraising Deptartment
Full Time, Permanent Position

Opportunity:

We are looking for an energetic, outgoing and detail oriented individual to implement strategy and secure financial support from a portfolio of donor prospects. Reporting directly to the Head of School & Executive Administrator, you will be part of a team identifying, qualifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding gifts from corporations and individuals, including corporate sponsorships, major gifts, special events, grant writing and planned gifts.
As part of our Advancement team, this position is responsible for exemplary donation administration and customer service. Inherent to this position is a need for both speed, efficiency and accuracy to ensure that targets are met throughout the year
 
Job Tasks

Research and identify potential new donors and prospects
Use of online research tools;
Work with the Head of School, Admissions and Advancement Team to identify effective prospective strategies
Perform data research and data analysis to increase and reactivate past donors
Carry out analysis on giving histories and patterns to determine philanthropic profiles and financial ability to make a gift.
Research “returned receipt” donors weekly, flag and update files accordingly
Fulfill replacement receipt requests as needed
Manage on-going data import and export requests
Track donations and create donor acknowledgement communications
Generating pledge reminders as required.
Provide/create reports, dashboards exports, mailings, statistical analysis, etc.
Oversee grant/matching gift documentation
Process all gifts, including tracking of monthly donors: Coordinate donor recognition, donor wall and donor journey mapping.
Provide administrative support to Advancement Team, communicating daily (e.g. major gifts, monthly donors, direct mail)
Establish and maintain database, files and documentation in an appropriate and accountable manner according to established standards and in Raiser’s Edge.
Attend, support and promote third party fundraising events
Understand and adhere to National Fundraising Policies and standards related to fundraising
Other duties as assigned
 
Competencies
Excellent skills in gdrive, gmail, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Experience and proven proficiency in donor research & donation processing.
Client Service oriented
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience in creating customised reports
Able to handle high volume of data entry in an efficient and accurate manner
Able to work autonomously with minimal supervision as well as part of a high-functioning mobile team
A proven ability to interact effectively and positively with staff, managers and donors.
Willingness to be flexible with work schedule in support of advancement initiatives, events and deadlines. Able to adapt to a variable workflow with multiple priorities and in high-pressure scenarios, especially during the school year.
The candidate must successfully complete a criminal records and education verification check prior to commencing employment
Knowledge of the Canadian Centre for Philanthropy's Ethical Fundraising and Financial Accountability Code
        
Requirements

High School and a provincial or other vocational or professional certificate/degree is preferred and at least 1 year of related past experience
Knowledge of Raiser’s Edge NXT Knowledge with Raiser’s Edge or other CRM  fundraising/database software required
