York House School is a leading independent day school that has been providing a progressive and comprehensive academic program for girls since 1932. The school, comprised of two campuses, the Little School (JK & SK) serving 56 students and the main campus with 656 students, Grades 1-12 is located in the heart of Vancouver. Reporting to the Head of School, the Assistant Head of School provides overall responsibility for the day-to-day operations of York House School. The Assistant Head acts proactively in providing leadership and management so that the tone, culture, and environment model the values and mission of York House School. Serving as a key member of the Administration team, the Assistant Head also takes on the role and duties of the Head of School when the Head is away, and supports and engages all stakeholders in the setting and implementing of the school’s strategic plan.
York House is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and dynamic educational leader to continue the school’s development as a world-class, leading institution in girls’ education. The new Assistant Head will be an innovative instructional leader with a proven track in education and significant experience in leadership and school administration. An excellent communicator, the Assistant Head will be a collegial leader, with significant skills and experience in working effectively with students, faculty, staff, and parents, and will have a record of success in leading and implementing change.
