After School Care & Holiday Programs Instructor

Casual, part-time position, beginning March 2018.
St. Michaels University School, Junior School is seeking an enthusiastic After School Care instructor who can also work as a camp instructor during holiday periods such as Spring Break, Winter, and Summer.
Key Responsibilities:
This part-time position involves shifts after school, from 3:15–5:30 pm during the school year, in addition to 20-35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, during holiday periods. Responsibilities include program organization, planning, and delivery of fun and stimulating programs for children, ages 5-11.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 19 years of age
Emergency First Aid and CPR C
Previous experience working with children
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
Must have completed a course/combination of courses of at least 20 hours duration in child development, guidance, health & safety or nutrition
Preference will be given to applicants who have some post-secondary training in recreation, youth, childcare or a related discipline
Two character references
Class 4 Drivers License is recommended but not required
Criminal Record Check
This position requires a clear criminal record check as required by the Licensing Board.
